Wagner Photography contract approved after board hearing complaints; vendor will provide sales data and customer service contacts

The board approved a contract with Wagner Photography Services after a discussion that included parent feedback and statements from the vendor.

Director Olsen asked administration to obtain sales numbers for spring and fall student photo orders; she said she has heard "a significant amount of negative feedback on specifically the spring photos this time around." Wagner representatives said they can provide ordering totals and customer‑service contacts. "We'd be happy to supply that. I could give it to you tomorrow morning on where we've been so far," Chip Wagner said, offering to provide interim totals and a final wrap‑up at the end of the school year. Regional sales manager Jace Dumont and owner Chip Wagner described their local customer‑service operation and said the company fielded parent questions and worked directly with building photo coordinators.

Administration noted Wagner took on an expanded workload after the previous vendor ended its relationship with the district; staff said some spring events were added or rescheduled quickly, which required the vendor to recruit additional photographers under short notice. The board approved the contract by voice vote and asked the vendor to provide the requested sales data and contact information so parents and administrators can follow up about order quality or retake requests.

Wagner also agreed to a district arrangement to provide uniform senior banners and to release certain media‑day exclusives to allow others to photograph, measures administration described as equity and continuity for graduating seniors.

The board did not reduce or rescind the contract; instead the board approved the vendor agreement and directed staff to collect and share data responding to the quality concerns raised during public comment and by board members.
