Council sets sidewalk public hearing date and approves several appointments; accepts longtime volunteer resignation

The sidewalk ordinance amendment would define sidewalks adjacent to public roads and set a 24‑hour timeframe for snow removal after snow or freezing rain has ceased, with sand or other material allowed where removal is impractical. The draft sets a fine of $3 for every 24‑hour period a violation continues and authorizes sworn police officers to enforce the provision.
