The 187th District Court issued a judge’s warrant and remanded Darren Anthony Fish without bond after Fish failed to appear for his scheduled hearing.
The state reported that Fish did not answer the docket call at 9 a.m.; the deputy reported the defendant was not present in the holding area. The court allowed a brief recess to attempt contact; the defendant did not appear. The court ordered a judge’s warrant, remand without bond, and directed that if Fish makes an appearance the court will reconsider bond.
The court noted the docket time and that deputies had made standard calls for the defendant. Defense counsel indicated lack of recent contact since the prior date. The judge entered the remand order and advised defense counsel of the procedure for the defendant to seek reconsideration if he appears in custody.
Clerk and deputies were directed to issue the warrant and lodge the remand order.
