Library outlines construction plan, access changes and summer programming adjustments

Orem Public Library staff told the Orem Library Advisory Commission that demolition at the adjacent City Center will begin at the end of April and that the library will change its public entrance and circulation patterns during construction.
Bryce (library administrator) told the commission the power to the old city center will be turned off on Sunday, April 27, and formal demolition will begin Monday, April 28. Staff said a construction fence and a new construction yard will occupy areas adjacent to the library and that the library will create a new public entrance through one of the north-facing children's area windows. "All of our traffic will enter off of First North," Bryce said, explaining the new pedestrian routing and plans to retain an ADA ramp and some egress access.
