PTA representative Campbell told the board the county's 29 PTAs and PTSAs have "been busy with student enrichment programs and family engagement events such as carnivals and STEM family nights." She said membership has exceeded last year's total, reporting 352 members and that the county plans to reinstate a 30th local unit on April 2.
Campbell outlined spring events including a Reflections Arts Awards ceremony on March 27, a PTA spring training on April 5 funded by a mini-grant from United Way of West Florida, Earth Day activities at Braveview Park on April 19, and a WSRE TV "Be My Neighbor Day" participation on April 26. The PTA also expects a Local Unit Awards celebration tentatively scheduled for May 30.
