Parent seeks apology and reinstatement after volunteer coach removal; board refers allegations to counsel and opens investigation

“I believe at this time for you to apologize to me, to make this entire mess right,” Schwarc said in a prepared statement read to the board. She said she has served the district in multiple volunteer roles, described repeated online harassment she said originated with another parent, and said she had to obtain a civil stalking protection order.
Patrick Fletcher, an attorney who said he represents Schwarc, told the board his client seeks a formal apology, restoration as a volunteer wrestling coach and noted that a civil stalking protection order had been confirmed in a hearing the same day.
During public comments a second parent, Misty Tippenbach, asked the board how it would respond to social‑media allegations about a teacher at Greenbrier and said her children had been exposed to online claims. The board responded that it had issued a statement the prior Friday and that “we have taken all allegations and we have sent them to our attorney,” and that the district’s counsel would engage a private investigator to examine the allegations.
Board members said they could not provide more detail publicly while the investigation is ongoing. A district representative also said hypothetically a teacher under an active investigation would not remain in the classroom while the inquiry continued.
Late in the meeting the board adopted resolution 2025‑03‑146 to move into executive session for “personal matters specifically considered discipline and investigation charges and or complaints on public matters required to be kept confidential by state or federal law.” The board announced it adjourned to executive session at 6:49 p.m. for that purpose; no final action on the personnel matters was taken in open session that night.
The board referenced its public comment policy, Policy 0169.1, when outlining rules for speakers during the meeting.
Attorney Fletcher and Schwarc declined to provide additional specifics beyond the public statements recorded at the meeting. The board said it would follow counsel’s advice on next steps and on what, if any, information could be released after the investigation.
