The Franklin City Plan Commission on March 20 voted to recommend approval of a site-plan amendment allowing new and modified fences at the Rock Sports Complex, 7005 S. Ballpark Drive.
Staff said the proposed fencing complies with the PDD fence standards and recommended approval, subject to a technical correction and a condition requiring the applicant to obtain We Energies approval for any work within the utility easement before building permits are issued.
“Mister Martinez” summarized the proposal and noted the recommended approval. The city attorney identified a technical correction to the resolution’s condition language; staff confirmed the correction would be incorporated. Commissioners moved and seconded the resolution with the technical corrections, and the motion carried by voice vote.
Staff said the fencing location is shown on the submitted plans and that the commission’s action is a standard PDD site-plan step; the final issuance of permits will require demonstration of compliance with the easement condition and any other building permit requirements.
The commission’s recommendation will be forwarded as required by PDD procedures; staff will follow up to ensure We Energies sign-off is obtained before permits are issued.
