Staff said the applicants were still working through access and fire-code concerns and asked to postpone to the commission’s May 15 meeting. "They are requesting the additional time to work through technical aspects," staff said.
Commission members opened the public hearing as required; no speakers opposed the postponement. A planning commission member moved and another seconded a motion "to postpone RZ250201 zoning from R-2 PRD at 4204 Washington Road to the May planning commission meeting." The motion passed on a voice vote.
The postponement means the commission will not issue a recommendation on the rezoning at this meeting; any further discussion or conditions will be considered at the rescheduled public hearing. Staff and the applicant will return with updated materials addressing access and fire-code compliance.
