The North Andover School Committee voted March 20 to accept a $10,000 donation from Watts Water Technology to support the North Andover High School Robotics Team’s trip to the BECS robotics world championship in Dallas in May 2025.
The donation letter, read at the meeting by district staff, said Watts Water Technology increased support from $5,000 last year to $10,000 this year. The committee member who moved acceptance described the gift as “a very generous donation that we are very much appreciative of.” The motion to accept the donation passed by recorded voice vote with all members present voting yes.
On the consent agenda the committee also approved amended minutes for the Feb. 25 meeting to correct budget labeling and to note the “purple” budget option and its $69.2 million figure where appropriate. A motion to accept the consent agenda as amended passed unanimously.
