The Ohio County Fiscal Court approved hiring CJ Henderson as a part-time parks employee at $13.99 per hour, effective March 9, 2025 (as read into the record). The position is limited to up to 22 hours per week. A motion to acknowledge and record the hire was approved by the court on voice vote.
Later in the meeting the court went into closed session for personnel matters related to the county treasurer position. Judge Johnson said no action would be taken immediately, but the court indicated it might hold a special called meeting on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. solely to consider hiring for the treasurer position. The judge said the closed session could last a short time and that the public was welcome to remain in the meeting room; the court returned to open session afterward and reported “no action taken.”
Court members said they would relay information to interested parties and follow up with candidates or staff as appropriate.
