The county plans to restrict LiveScan use to incarcerated persons processed through the jail; it will not be available to the general public, officials said.
Revenue from LiveScan was described as tied to a court-associated fee added to court costs. Board members stated it was not yet determined whether those funds would be allocated to the jail budget or the county general fund.
No formal budget transfers or final decisions on the LiveScan fee allocation were made at the meeting; staff said they will return with operational readiness details following configuration and training.
