Stowe City Council on March 20 adopted multiple measures including site approvals for two commercial developments, contracts for project and IT services, and short-term borrowing to fund major roadway projects.
The actions move several planning items and capital projects closer to construction and authorize city staff to execute contracts the administration says are needed to keep work on schedule.
Most measures were adopted after roll-call votes or unanimous voice votes. The council approved: (1) site-plan and lot-split approvals and variances for a manufacturing/warehouse project on Campus Drive (resolution 2025-088); (2) a conditional zoning certificate with variances for a Suncrest Gardens satellite operations site at 4811 Scarlet Lane (resolution 2025-089); (3) a $48,700 construction-management contract for the First Responders Memorial with Jolin Management (ordinance 2025-084); (4) contracts for off-site backup services (AetnaPlus) and city meeting software (Granicus); and (5) the issuance of three short-term notes to finance State Route 91 reconstruction, the Kent Road traffic signal project on State Route 59, and a $400,000 note related to the planned driving-range property.
Council members recorded approval during roll calls for the adopted ordinances and resolutions; the meeting transcript records the measures as passed and placed into effect according to their terms.
