Kevin Aloni, Quincy Public Schools’ athletic director, told the Athletics and Wellness Subcommittee on March 12 that districtwide participation in high school sports has increased this school year and that teams at both Quincy High and North Quincy High posted season highlights across fall and winter sports.
Aloni said the district’s unique participant count — a student counted once regardless of how many sports they play — is “roughly over 780 student athletes” for the 2024–25 school year. He reported about 260 participants at Quincy High in fall sports, roughly 293 at North Quincy for fall, about 84 Quincy High winter participants and about 250 at North Quincy for winter, with a total of 10 programs qualifying for state tournaments…
