Council adopts tighter stormwater standards in third reading

The ordinance amends chapter 1419 (engineering standards for infrastructure construction) by updating requirements in section 4 (storm collection) and section 5 (stormwater management). Council comment credited staff work on the text and noted it is intended to reduce future maintenance and response costs.
The item was presented on its third and final reading and voted on during the meeting. Mrs. Wheeler conducted a roll-call vote: Doctor Burd, Mister Foster, Doctor Getz, Mrs. Heater, Mrs. Kowalski, Mr. Sutton and Mr. Van Wijk all voted yes; the ordinance passed 7-0.
