West Chester Township hires Christine Dailey as full-time police officer; sworn in Jan. 28

Trustees approved the appointment of Christine Dailey as a full-time police officer for West Chester Township, effective Feb. 9, 2025. The board voted to hire Dailey during the Jan. 28 meeting; the motion passed on roll call with Trustees Becker, Wong and Welch voting yes.
Mr. Burks (staff member) presented Dailey’s credentials: a bachelor’s degree from Miami University, a crime and intelligence certificate from the University of Cincinnati, and service since February 2018 as a crime analyst with the West Chester Police Department. Mr. Burks told the board Dailey has earned multiple certifications and meritorious-service awards for investigative contributions. Staff said Dailey will attend the Ohio State Highway Patrol Police Academy beginning Feb. 10, 2025.
Trustees and other attendees offered congratulations during the sworn-oath ceremony. Trustee Becker told Dailey, “I’m so proud of you,” and other board members and staff urged safety and excellence in the new role. After the vote the board administered the oath of office.
The hiring vote and oath concluded the personnel item; trustees recorded no conditions or contingencies on the appointment.
