Trustees authorized a license agreement permitting Access Teen Center (doing business as Edge Teen Center) to use township property at 9285 Center Pointe Drive and adjacent public roadways for the Shamrock Shuffle 5K, scheduled for Saturday, March 15, 2025, with races beginning at 9 a.m.
Administrator Birx said the event route will require primary road closures on sections of Westchester Road, Union Center Boulevard, Lakota Drive West and Beckett Road. Edge Teen Center will be responsible for paying assigned police officers at off-duty rates and township road personnel at overtime rates. The organization said proceeds will fund the Edge Teen Center—s teen programs.
Trustees approved the license agreement by roll call. Board members discussed prior events and traffic coordination; staff noted the police department successfully managed traffic at prior runs despite a scheduling conflict in a prior year.
