West Chester Township accepts Larry D. Burks resignation and appoints Lisa D. Brown as township administrator

West Chester Township trustees on Feb. 25 approved a resignation agreement with township administrator Larry D. Burks and voted to appoint Lisa D. Brown as the township administrator, effective Feb. 23, 2025.

The trustees approved the resignation agreement and authorized the township administrator to execute the document before moving to the appointment. "I just want to take the opportunity to thank all of you for the trust that you're putting in me, and to pledge to everyone here that I will do the best job that I possibly can, to continue on the positive path that we have been going down so far," Lisa D. Brown said after her appointment.

The motion to approve the personnel items, which included the resignation agreement and Brown's employment agreement, passed on a roll-call vote. The trustees then administered the oath of office for Brown later in the meeting during the swearing-in sequence for several public-safety personnel.
