Guttenberg added that Representative Costello later added a $400 per‑student increase for a related program while the bill proceeded through the House.
Guttenberg also reported on House Bill 119. He said Representative Stapp’s bill, which would add language to the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation (AGDC) charter to include a spur line into Fairbanks, was heard and held. "A lot of bills were heard and held today," Guttenberg said, and he told the assembly that mid‑session status can change quickly.
Guttenberg concluded by noting many legislators were traveling for constituent meetings and that the situation could change by the next business day or week. No formal assembly action was taken on state legislation during the meeting; the report was informational.
