Colchester voters approved the town and school budgets and elected candidates to local offices in the recent vote, district staff reported at the school board meeting.
Megan Ball, communications director, announced the school budget passed on the ballot, with 1,489 votes in favor and 1,262 opposed, out of 2,751 total voters. She also reported that Nick and Ben won re‑election to the school board, while Jackie Murphy and Paul Pecor won contested seats on the selectboard.
Board members thanked communications and outreach staff for voter education and campaign‑information materials. The district emphasized that the budget maintains programs and services for students and that staff worked with the board on outreach and explanatory materials to help voters understand the proposal.
These results were reported to the board for information; no board vote was required on the town election outcome.
