Planning commission elects officers, approves past minutes; schedules training

At its March 3 meeting the Paducah Planning Commission elected Chairman Wade and Vice Chair David Morrison by acclamation, approved two sets of past minutes, and noted upcoming training and a new planning staff member.
The Paducah Planning Commission opened its March 3 meeting with officer elections and procedural business. Chairman Wade presided after being nominated and elected chair by acclamation. The commission also elected Commissioner David Morrison as vice chair by acclamation.
The commission approved minutes from its Nov. 4, 2024 and Nov. 19, 2024 meetings after motions to waive reading, with roll call votes recorded as aye for Commissioners Kaler, Benberry, Griffin and Chairman Wade for the first set, and aye for those present on the second set as recorded.
Staff reminded commissioners of an upcoming training session provided by David Pike, tentatively set for April 24 in Calvert City, and asked members to inform staff if they could attend. Staff also introduced a new employee, Morgan Dennis, who will assist planning staff and the commission.
The meeting adjourned at 5:49 p.m.
