The Fall River Traffic & Parking board voted to reduce a no-parking strip at a curve near Lindo’s Cafe and open roughly 105 feet of curb for parking.
Staff reported a field study and recommended condensing the existing no-parking section to the curve itself. The recommendation would open an additional 105 feet of parking from the current no-parking zone to Dean Street; staff said allowing parking along that added length would not create another choke point because the particularly tight curb at the corner would remain prohibited.
The board approved the staff recommendation by voice vote with a second; staff will arrange measurements and sign work, which typically takes about 12 weeks.
