Terrebonne committee hears small January sales-tax decline, about $36,000

Terrebonne Parish finance staff reported a slight decline in sales-tax collections for January 2025 compared with January 2024 during the Finance Insurance and Section 16 Lands Committee meeting on March 18.
Michelle Clingman, identified in the meeting as the presenter, said, "For the month of January, we have a decrease of 0.64%." She stated that the dollar amount of the decrease was about $36,000.
The committee did not take further action on the report and adjourned after the items on the agenda were completed.
