The City of Deltona Planning and Zoning Board elected Andrea Cardo as chair, Carrie DeRico as vice chair and retained Rachel Amoroso as secretary during its March 19 meeting.
Board members held separate roll-call votes after nominations were made during the meeting’s opening business. The nominations drew no public comment and each position was approved by voice or roll call with all members voting in favor.
The officer elections were procedural actions taken at the start of the board’s agenda. No policy change or substantive discussion accompanied the votes; board members moved on to review zoning ordinances and a staff presentation after completing elections.
Board chair Cardo then presided over the remainder of the meeting and called for motions on the next items: approval of minutes and consideration of two ordinances to bring local code into alignment with state law.
