Court appoints chair counsel for Roberto Monreal, sets discovery date for July 24

The court reviewed family contributions to bond and confirmed Monreal92s inability to pay for privately retained counsel. "I'm going to, grant the motion. I'll appoint a Chair," Judge Boyd said, granting the appointment and directing counsel to confer on discovery schedules.
The judge noted prior appointments in the case (Ms. Suzanne Kramer and Ms. Guerrero) and set a 45-day discovery period with a recall date of July 24 for the next status and discovery compliance. The court also asked the parties to coordinate so that defense has access to discovery materials; the judge instructed staff to place the matter back on the docket for discovery compliance.
The court reiterated that interested family members in the gallery should remain respectful and that discovery preparation is necessary to proceed to trial, if needed.
