During its March 18 meeting the Town of Nantucket Affordable Housing Trust announced a request for qualifications for a year-round deed-restriction program monitoring agency, details and deadlines for the Howard Dickler Award, upcoming meeting dates and a procedural vote to hold the March 4 minutes for a future meeting.
Staff reported the RFQ for the deed-restriction monitoring contract was released March 10; proposals are due April 2 and the contract is expected to be awarded on May 16. Interested parties were encouraged to review the RFQ and submit proposals by the April 2 deadline.
The trust is accepting nominations for the Howard Dickler Award through April 4. Trustees said the award recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to housing affordability on Nantucket; nominees will be announced on April 15 and the winner will be revealed at the annual town meeting on May 3. A trustee reminded members the Howard Dickler Citizens Award is intended for a community resident, not a paid housing professional.
Trust members agreed to hold approval of the minutes from the March 4 meeting until the next meeting; a subsequent roll-call vote approved holding the item over. The trust confirmed future meeting dates of April 1 and April 15 at 12:30 p.m.
Public comment on non-agenda items was called for and none was taken on the recorded transcript.
