Selectmen approve Children's Center permits for Ferry Find and Fairyland on July 12

The Wolfeboro Board of Selectmen voted on March 19 to approve two temporary event permits requested by the Children’s Center for July 12, 2025: Ferry Find (Bridal Falls Path, 9 a.m.–11 a.m., permit no. 2025‑18) and Fairyland (Cape Park, 10 a.m.–12 p.m., permit no. 2025‑19).
June Connors, a member of the Children’s Center board, described both community events during the public hearing. "Families enjoy a stroll along the path...Last year, more than 350 people attended Ferry Find," she said of the scavenger‑hunt style walk. She said Fairyland, a free family gathering that follows the walk, drew more than 700 people last year.
Selectmen asked that proof of insurance already submitted for Fairyland be copied and attached to the Ferry Find permit file. The board also corrected an administrative error in the printed permit, confirming Ferry Find would run 9 a.m.–11 a.m. (not 9 p.m.). After brief discussion the board voted approval by voice for each permit.
Board members queried organizers about parking plans for the larger Fairyland crowd; Children’s Center representatives said they had not requested church or school parking in prior years because attendees find public parking and organizers have not previously reported issues. The board closed the public hearing after the presentation and approved both permits.
