Council approves final plat for 18‑lot 'Dwellings on Easy Street' subdivision

The Mineral Wells City Council approved the final plat for an 18‑lot subdivision to be called the Dwellings on Easy Street during its March meeting.
Mike Tincher, who identified himself as part owner of the property and representing Valley View Developers, told the council the project would have 18 homes, each about 2,000 square feet with three bedrooms, two baths and two‑car garages. He said the only change from the preliminary plat to the final plat was the street name, which the developer changed to Easy Street and therefore the project name to Dwellings on Easy Street. “This process was so easy, so we decided to call it Easy Street,” Tincher said.
City staff noted the Board of Adjustments granted a variance in December related to lot sizes and setbacks, and the Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the final plat in March. Representatives of police, fire, public works, Encore and Texas Debt Gas Services reviewed the plat and reported no concerns on the record.
A council member moved to approve the final plat as presented; a second was recorded and the motion carried 6‑0.
