"We're kind of circling back to close the loop and make that official, for the bid award. To R. G. Houston, to complete the work. They were the lowest responsible bidder," a trustee said during the parks report. Cameron explained a budget transfer of $125,000 from the Park Development Fund to the public infrastructure fund for the work, which will bring the total 2025 project budget to $344,450 when combined with prior borrowing and prior-year expenditures.
The board voted to accept the bid and then approved two budget amendments that memorialize the bid acceptance and the funding transfer. The item follows earlier direction after bids came in higher than expected and staff identified funding to close the gap.
