Technology staff presented a recommendation to renew the district’s Sophos Intercept X antivirus subscription early to secure special pricing available through March 21, 2025. The presentation said early renewal for a three‑year term would cost $107,027.30 and yield a roughly $10,000 savings compared with previous renewal pricing; staff also said license counts were reduced compared with the last contract.
Administration recommended the board approve the purchase through Logisoft. Trustees approved the purchase by voice vote and staff said the three‑year renewal was lower than the previous three‑year contract by about $30,000 relative to the last full renewal when considered against prior license counts.
Staff said implementation and license consolidation are underway and that the district will continue to manage endpoint security via the renewed subscription.
