Chippewa Valley board elects officers, swears in three newly elected members

At the Jan. 13 organizational meeting the Chippewa Valley Schools Board of Education completed annual officer elections and swore in three newly elected members.

Officers chosen and votes - President: The board appointed Ken Pearl as president. After nominations and a polling of board preferences, the board made a formal motion and elected Pearl by roll call; the motion passed unanimously. - Vice President: Chris Gura was appointed vice president by board motion and roll call; the motion passed unanimously. - Secretary: Denise Aquino was appointed secretary by motion and voice vote; the motion carried unanimously. - Treasurer: Donald Koontz was appointed treasurer by motion and voice vote; the motion carried unanimously.

Swearing‑in and ceremonial remarks The meeting included a ceremonial swearing‑in for newly seated members and brief introductions of family members. The board president thanked outgoing and incoming members and opened the meeting’s regular business after the organizational items.
