The Granite School District board approved the appointment of Dr. Joan Bramble as director of organizational effectiveness during the study session. A motion to accept the administrative appointment was made and seconded; the board approved the motion by voice vote.
Chief Stafford introduced Dr. Bramble, describing her prior role overseeing assessment and data work and saying she "does an amazing job of fishing and then giving out the fish in a way that is very palatable by those that need to eat the fish." Stafford said Bramble’s work changed conversations at the school level and that the district is "excited" about her move into the organizational-effectiveness role.
Dr. Joan Bramble briefly acknowledged colleagues in the meeting. The appointment was approved without further discussion. The record in the study-session transcript shows a motion to accept the administrative appointment, a second, and a voice vote in which the motion carried; the transcript does not include a roll-call tally of yes/no votes.
