Linn County approved routine procedural items at a meeting Monday, March 19, in the formal boardroom of the Gina Oxley Public Service Center.
The board approved the minutes of the Monday, March 17 meeting. A motion to approve the minutes was moved, seconded and carried unanimously, the meeting record shows.
The board then voted to approve claims for accounts payable and automated clearinghouse (ACH) payments. The motion as read at the meeting described accounts payable checks (check numbers and exact range were read aloud) in the amount of $99,624.62 and ACH payments totaling $1,481,459.84, for a combined total of $1,581,084.46. The motion to approve the claims was seconded and carried unanimously.
The consent agenda was presented, moved and seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
Separately, the board later approved a vacancy form to upgrade an environmental chemist to a senior environmental chemist in Linn County Public Health; that personnel action and related discussion are reported in a separate article.
