Council adopts revised master fee schedule; staff corrects water deposit and formalizes fees

The Robinson City Council voted to adopt Ordinance 2025-005, which amends and replaces Appendix C (master fee schedule) of the city’s Code of Ordinances. The ordinance was approved on the consent agenda.

City staff explained the update was prompted by a discovered error in the water deposit listed on the fee schedule. “The water deposit fee was incorrect … It was on the fee schedule. It’s a hundred and $33. It’s actually only $75,” a staff member told the council. That correction led staff to review other charges and list fees to reflect the actual cost to the city.

Staff told the council the revision does not increase fees generally; where amounts changed they were set at actual city cost. The staff presentation noted several specific items: the amphitheater rental is set at $50 per hour, the gazebo at $25 per hour and the pavilion at $30 per hour with a two‑hour minimum. Staff also stated fees listed under municipal court were updated to reflect state‑set amounts where the city does not set those fees.

Council approved the consent agenda item by motion and second; the minutes record a unanimous vote with no individual vote breakdown included in the public minutes.

The ordinance repeals conflicting provisions, contains a severability clause and provides an effective date and open‑meetings statement as required. City staff said the fee schedule will be reviewed regularly; planning and development fees had been monitored more frequently and staff said moving several fees to an “actual cost to the city” basis should reduce the need for frequent adjustments.
