Committee backs bill to recognize tribal warrants and commitment orders across jurisdictions

The Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday advanced Senate Bill 9, a bill intended to improve cooperation between Colorado law enforcement and tribal nations by requiring state agencies and local law enforcement to recognize and, where appropriate, act on tribal arrest warrants and civil commitment orders.
