Rosie Inc. d/b/a Rosie's Famous Fireworks—Sparks in the Park (Ordinance No. 25-345) Council authorized the city manager to contract with Rosie Inc. d/b/a Rosie's Famous Fireworks to provide fireworks for Sparks in the Park at a cost not to exceed $11,000. Motion to suspend rules, read by title and adopt passed on roll-call with all present voting yes. (Same vote roster; Lilly absent.)
Consultant agreement with Tom Vanderhorst (Ordinance No. 25-346) Council authorized the city manager to enter a consultant agreement with Tom Vanderhorst to provide consulting services concerning city operations and efficiencies at a rate not to exceed $60,000 per month. Motion to suspend rules, read by title and adopt passed on roll-call with all present voting yes. (Same vote roster; Lilly absent.)
Other formal action: Letter regarding commercial truck sizes During Council comments, a motion was made, seconded and adopted to send a letter (attachment) opposing proposed federal increases to commercial truck size/weight to Senators (Senator Marino, Senator John Husted) and Representative David Taylor. The motion passed on recorded voice votes and roll-call confirmations indicated unanimous support among members present.
