Olson said proceeds will support two local women-led organizations — the Free Medical and Dental Clinic and the Prairielands Freedom Fund — and an international program benefiting refugee children in Africa. The event will focus on UN Sustainable Development Goal 3, good health and well-being, with a local emphasis on refugees and immigrants.
Olson described the current international context as “a very perilous time” and said that public affirmation and fundraising for services that aid vulnerable people remain important. Chairperson Green is listed to bring greetings at the March 6 event.
