Board enters closed session to evaluate county engineer candidates
Summary

At the end of the March 12 work session the board moved into closed session to evaluate candidates for the county engineer position. The motion to enter closed session cited Iowa Code section 21.5(1)(i), which allows discussion of the professional competency of an individual when a closed session is requested by the person whose evaluation is at issue.
The board voted by roll call to enter closed session. Meeting minutes record the motion carried and the board recessed into closed session for approximately five minutes; no personnel decisions were announced in open session following the closed session.
