Workday transition prompts short delay to some grants; board schedules jail tours and logistics

Erin from the board office told supervisors that a vacancy in the grants team combined with Workday-related workload requires short delays in several grant rounds. The county will postpone some quality-of-life and economic-development grant disbursements by roughly one to two months to allow staff time to process existing service agreements and avoid errors; staff said they will proactively notify applicants of adjusted timelines.
Erin also asked supervisors to help with logistics for planned jail tours later in March and April. Because Enterprise requires the vehicle’s listed driver to present a driver’s license at pickup, the board arranged for supervisors to pick up a rental van on Sunday, March 23, and coordinate drivers for the Monday departure. Staff said they will circulate reservation details and reminders.
Erin said the CJCC meeting set for the near term was canceled and asked supervisors to expect schedule updates as staff return from spring break and as the Workday transition continues.
