The City Council adopted Resolution 2025-01 on a voice vote Tuesday, approving the city’s required one- and six-year plan for street improvement projects.
At a public hearing before the vote, a council member said the only addition to the plan was curb and gutter work on the south side of Seventh Avenue, from Lincoln Street a block and a half west. The speaker said the plan is required by state law even if an individual project later proceeds outside the plan.
The resolution approval followed the public hearing and passed on the roll call. Councilmember Warren, Councilmember Aaron Johnson, Councilmember Buechner, Councilmember Ben Johnson and Councilmember Smith each recorded “yes” when polled during the vote.
The one- and six-year plan is a planning document that the transcript identifies as required by state law; the council did not discuss project-level funding or schedules during the hearing. The council did not specify a construction timetable or funding sources for the curb-and-gutter work during the hearing.
Members and staff closed the public hearing before taking the vote.
Copies of the approved plan and the adopted resolution were placed into the meeting record.
