The feasibility study completed two years ago examined a three-tier design (two above grade, one below) on or near the existing footprint; staff said the footprint will “probably remain similar” to the current garage but the overall capacity target is about 350 spaces, up from roughly 300 today.
When asked about schedule, staff estimated breaking ground about a year from now, with a target of spring 2026. Staff said they communicated a budget target to proposers; during the meeting the figure mentioned for the garage itself was about $22,000,000. Presenters emphasized that final design alternatives and costs will depend on the consultant the county selects.
