A procurement analyst for the Glynn County Board of Commissioners opened a public bid-opening event on the county livestream for two solicitations: IFB 25-047, the 2025 Glynn County Fourth of July fireworks display, and RFP 25-004, program administration for the Brunswick Area Transportation Study Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO).
The county recorded three bids for the fireworks contract: Ghost Coast Entertainment LLC (Brunswick, Georgia); Southern Sky Fireworks (Sycamore, Georgia); and Starfire Corporation (Saint Benedict, Pennsylvania). Two firms submitted proposals for the MPO administration contract: Barton's Management and Consulting and RS&H Incorporated.
The procurement analyst said county staff and the project manager will review paperwork for accuracy and completion, and that the board of commissioners reserves the right to waive technicalities. The lowest responsive bid may not be the recommended awardee after the review process. A bid tabulation sheet will be posted to the Glynn County website when available, and the recommended award will be forwarded to the county finance committee and then to the full board of commissioners at its next scheduled meeting.
No contract awards or formal votes were taken at the bid opening; the event was limited to publicly opening and announcing submitted bids. The procurement analyst invited attendees to contact county procurement with questions and to sign an attendance sheet if participating in person.
Next steps are internal review by procurement and the project manager, publication of the bid tabulation on the county website, and formal consideration of a recommended award at upcoming finance committee and board meetings.
