Glynn County Parks gear up: spring sports, Blythe Island recognition and summer lifeguard staffing

Glynn County Parks and Recreation said spring sports are underway for about 1,700 youth, opening day at Mallory Park is March 22, and the department is recruiting roughly 55 seasonal lifeguards and attendants for the summer. Lisa Greganus, Glynn County director of Recreation and Parks, said the department is entering a busy spring and summer season with youth sports, park improvements and seasonal hiring.
“We're serving about 1,700 young people with our sports programs this spring,” Greganus said on Good News Glenn. She said opening day at Mallory Park is scheduled for March 22 and that spring leagues for baseball, tee ball, softball and soccer are active.
