Glynn County commissioners on March 12 approved an intergovernmental agreement to provide the Brunswick & Glynn County Development Authority $800,000 a year for 10 years, beginning July 1, 2025, a contract the county said is contingent on passage of related local legislation.
The agreement, approved by voice vote, requires the development authority to submit expanded annual reporting — including a strategic-plan update, business recruitment/expansion and retention activity, a project pipeline report, coordination with local stakeholders and an annual economic development metrics report — in addition to its operating budget and audit.
