The Redevelopment Agency (RDA) governing board voted Dec. 17 to adopt a set of bylaw amendments clarifying officer titles and codifying leadership continuity practices.
Executive Director Justin Harrison presented the changes, which principally update internal titles to match state statute references and formalize the practice that the city‑council vice chair serves as RDA chair by default (and the council chair as RDA vice chair), unless the designated council leader opts out and the board elects a replacement. The bylaw edits also correct cross‑references, clarify effective dates and confirm that changes conform with Utah Redevelopment law.
The board approved the amended bylaws by unanimous roll call; staff will publish the revised bylaws and apply the changes to RDA meeting procedures immediately.
