Pecos rejects bids for booster‑station tank fence project, orders rebid

One firm was disqualified because it did not include the required bid bond; the other firm, Anchor Group Inc., submitted a higher bid and was recommended by staff only if council chose to proceed. Council members questioned the price difference and chose to reject both bids and require a new solicitation.
Formal action: Councilman Arona moved and Councilman Graham seconded a motion to reject both bids and rebid the project. The motion carried.
Next steps: Staff will reissue the solicitation and return with new bids for council consideration.
