The Wilson County Commission approved a package of budget amendments, appropriations and other resolutions during its March 17 regular meeting, including several one-time transfers into county departments and authorization to bid a new animal-control building.
Commissioners voted on at least 21 separate resolutions during the session. The measures included one-time appropriations into the Wilson County Board of Education budget, appropriations into the county emergency management agency (WEMA), transfers for the sheriff’s department, line-item transfers in planning and sheriff budgets, bond and debt-service payments and capital project allocations. The commission also approved authorizing the bid and construction of an animal-control building and authorized purchase of the Wilson County Road Commission property.
