Decorum resolution defeated: Councilwoman Cuellar sponsored a resolution to set formal decorum and conduct standards (resolution 2025-R-54). After a lengthy, sometimes heated debate in which members debated whether Robert’s Rules and existing law already cover the issues, the council voted the motion down. The roll-call on the motion was No: Councilman London, Councilman Box, Councilman Sims and Council President Spivey; Yes: Councilwoman Cuellar. The motion failed.
Appointments: The council appointed Von Barclay to fill a vacancy on the Commercial Development Authority (resolution 2025-R-53). The appointment passed on a roll-call vote after a short introduction from the candidate.
