“Every day our children navigate the busy intersection facing a danger,” the speaker, identified by the transcript only as Omar, told the council. He described frequent foot traffic, high vehicle volumes and limited visibility at the crossing and urged the council to consider redirecting grant funds to safety improvements at that location.
