Votes at a glance: Council approves police computer purchase, $250 donation, and a letter supporting MVRPC

Riverside City Council recorded three formal votes on March 3.

Letter of support for Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) Manager Josh asked council to approve a drafted letter opposing a proposed state resolution that would effectively eliminate funding for metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs), including the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission. A motion to approve the letter was made and seconded; council voted to approve and several members signed the letter. Councilmember Lomatch was noted in the meeting as MVRPC board chair. (Vote: yes 7, no 0).

Other housekeeping votes at the meeting included approval of the March 3 meeting minutes and the agenda at the start of the session; both passed by voice vote.
