The Great Valley School Board moved through its voting agenda and approved multiple items unanimously.
The board approved the consent agenda (items 801–823) by voice vote; a board member recorded the motion as passing “8 to 0.” Two items were removed from the consent agenda for additional information: Avant assessments and ACTFL language (biliteracy) assessments. Board materials say those two items will return to the April meeting once additional quotes and proposals are received.
Personnel items on agenda item 1001 were approved by the board; trustees acknowledged a number of retirements, including several senior staff from the high school. The vote on personnel passed 8–0.
The board approved agenda item 1002, the reelection of district assistant superintendent Joanna Wexler, by a unanimous 8–0 vote.
Two policy items (1101 and 1102) were presented and approved as first readings; the motions passed 8–0.
Board members indicated the finance committee and full board will continue budget and staffing discussions in committee meetings noted on the agenda.
